Module 2

Through Activity 1 & 2 and the Spatial Workshops. I explored and identified spaces around me, and gained the understanding of the storytelling between maps and data. For my project 2, I chose Shanghai to be the location to be working on. Using the knowledge I gained in class, I created a bivariate data map using the location-based data of Shanghai.

Spatial Workshop 1

The booth sitting area on the second floor of marquee, designed for group study session. Each booth provides semi-private space for 2–4 people. 
      <br>Style: Modern design with colorful palette. The clean geometric shapes create visual appealing.<br>Material: Gloss painted seats and wall. Seats metal base trim, vinyl cushions. Exterior of AA wing for relaxation.<br>Style: Natural and comfy, the color of chairs match with the color of foliage. The place combines the natural elements
      <br>Material: Wood chairs. Stone retaining walls. Grass and Tree providing shade. Indoor lounge area at food court, services as a social and relax place. 
      <br>Style: The multicolored glass add vibrancy and visual appealing to the space. The wooden beams and metal framing highlight a mix of industrial and natural aesthetics. 
      <br>Material: Steel-framed windows. Exposed wooden beams. Colored glass window. Upholstered lounge chairs.

Spatial Workshop 2

3 initial concept sketches I made for 3 spaces. Canopy for exterior space, plants for lounge, lighting for learning space I decided to go furthur with the exterior space, these are 3 ideas based on it. The 3D model of the wooden canopy.
